I've had a little previous experience with them. I went to one of their tryouts. All went well and I was named to top prospect team on their website and supposedly entered in their database, so I was invited to a lot of their tournaments (arizona fall classic, preseason invitational, etc...). Never attended any of these because money is an issue and there real expensive. I've heard very good things about them though so thats all I can say. hope some of this helps.
Personally I would stick with the PG showcases. i think their rating are taken more seriously. BAseball factory from what Ive seen invites a lot of the kids who try out to some sort of tourney. they have a roll over spot in the arizona fall classics (senior classic is hard for teams to get into) they put a lot of players on their rosters, they have Baseball factory and team one are all the same company.
I think its too much money.
I am no expert on showcases, but it seems to me that Baseball Factory is getting an undeserved bad rap here. Go to their website:

http://www.baseballfactory.com/ourapproach/testimonials/testimonialsdata.asp

Go into the testimonials section and see the dozens of parents and players who say the same great things about the Baseball Factory that so many people also say about Perfect Game and other showcase organizations.

I suspect that those who have actually utilized Baseball Factory's services would say glowing things if they, too, were writing on these forums.
Baseball Factory provides excellent services (although priced at a variety of levels) to those parents and players seeking this type of college recruiting and evaluation support.

Bear in mind, I have not needed such services, nor have sought such services, yet having seen the growth since inception, BF is more than a reputable business.

cheers

they have gotten a bad rap in this forum. Mostly due to PG slant I think. We've done several events with them and they are pretty good. Nothing the caliber of PG tourneys. However, their web page service is much better than PG. Their showcase is solid. The recruiting manual and advice are solid. Their wood bat tourneys are first rate. They really treat their players well. My son loved playing with them. Their SR. fall classic has a solid reputation. Team One didn't deliver the promised scouts this year. They will have to work on that or slash their price on that event.

on the negative side. Their tournaments are too pricey. Altough to be fair, when you take in account that they provide a first class hotel, and food, training and supervision the price isn't that as overpriced as you might think. but if money is not really an issue they are solid. They really need to offer reduced prices for athletes that tehy move up their showcase ladder b/c only a wealthy family can afford to send their kids to all of them. could be 10k if you moved up their tourney ladder. that is rediculous!!

They are not as good as PG showcases and events. However, they are a good showcase for lower D1,d2 and D3 players.
As my nic suggests we had absolutely no idea at all about the college baseball process, just that our son said he wanted to play college ball.

Not knowing where to start we found Baseball Factory to be very good at giving us that start. Yes, on the pricey side but then we had a late start and a very sharp learning curve to go through. In return we received a serious evaluation of our son's ability, he gained a load of self-confidence in seeing how he matched up and we learned a lot very fast. I have also found their college recruiting advice to be very sound and useful not just from the recruiting standpoint but in general for the whole college admissions process. We found the events we attended to be very professionally run and a good experience for our son. He gained confidence and made new friends. Baseball Factory may not be for everybody but I believe they do provide a serious and useful service for those that do use them.

We are now concentrating our finances and time more on local events, and our efforts on the schools where realistically he might could play and we afford. He will be attending an upcoming PG event (mainly to get a second opinion) and see if their exposure helps him increase his odds.
If you're going to go to a showcase, stick with Perfect Game. They run the most highly regarded showcases around. Period.

I've had some experience with our teams playing against Baseball Factory teams in tournaments. They're OK, but it does seem to me that the qualification to be on one of their teams is the parent's ability to pay, rather than the student athlete's ability to play. It was pretty obvious that most of the players didn't know each other, and there were quite a few players who weren't of the caliber that cohesive teams often have on their rosters.

I don't particularly care for their way of doing business, since I had to kick one of their guys out of our dugout in Arizona last year in the middle of a game. He came right into the dugout without invitation, to begin talking to some of my players and to get their contact information. As you can imagine, I failed to see the humor in that situation. He probably thought I was a jerk, I thought he was way out of line...
