I have spent some time reading previous posts about the Baseball Factory. So I am somewhat familiar with the various opinions of posters here. My son received a letter from the Baseball Factory yesterday. At practice. From his coach. Who received the letter in his school mailbox. Only one other player got this letter..which was basically an invite to a local tryout in our area. My son would like to go to the tryout, not necessarily to make the Puma Team (or whatever the tryout is for) but just for experience. His summer plans include his school's summer league, a slightly higher level club team league, the Stanford All Star Camp, and a couple of college camps. What, if any, would the Baseball Factory tournament team add to this experience? His school summer league doesn't go to any high level showcases. Frankly, the league doesn't really challenge him much. I guess I'm just not sure whether the Baseball Factory would offer him anything worthwhile. My son's tried to connect with some high level summer teams..but can't seem to get a spot.
