I agree with 06catcherdad, it is about pay. My son went to national try-out last year(we only did the try-oout portion, not the entire day event). He did very well but nothing superstarish. We called and got the scouting report. Told he qualified for the "next" camp at christmas...more money...a lot more money. That camp was just another national try-out to get invited to another try-out/camp. So, proceed with caution.
