Son is a RS freshman at Jamestown (ND, NAIA) College. Has been a little frustrated with baseball, did not make the varsity this year. But is very happy and doing well academically.

One of his roommates is from the Czech Republic and is also a RSF on the team. I was helping son find a place to play this summer when his roommate suggested he come to the CzR and play on his summer team. Next thing I know his roommate checked (czecked?) with the coach and his parents and its all arranged! Son will be playing on a team in the Czech Baseball Association "Extraliga" in the town of Blansko.

What a fantastic opportunity. Naturally mom and dad will find a way to get over there and watch a little ball, Czech-style.

We have met so many great people and had so many memorable experiences thanks to baseball. And they just keep coming.

That's great MT! It sounds like a winner all of the way around. Just remember to bring some pierogies home for papi. I understand he loves 'em!

"Well we're all packed up. This was a great trip. Did you remember to pick up some pierogies for papi?......"Naw...even better, I packed him a half dozen Blanenský měšec. You know they're stuffed with šunka, hermelín, and arašidy. That should keep him busy for quite awhile!"
