What ever happen to the minor league replacement players that played when the MLB went on strike? Did any of them stay in the MLB? Were top prospects promoted? or were fillers sent up and then just released when the strike was over?
Have knowledge of at least 2, one who was perhaps the best replacement player. Another who despite excelling tremendously in the minors for a long, long time...only got to the majors last year...what, 15 years later?
My understanding is that the bad feeling held for those strike breakers by the players union, and by former players runs very deep and most of the those replacement players have become pretty much outcasts when it comes to MLB.
Did the owners get the players from their minor league system? Since the minor leaguers are told where to play ,I guess they didnt use their top prospects as replacements.
Wasnt Donnely from the ________ Angels a prominent one? The reason he was a replacement player is because he doesn't have the natural skills, he has to have additive substances like sandpaper and oils. Not good my friend.
