Nothing. If they were all naked and standing in the middle of a parking lot, no one would be able to tell one from another. Its only when people try to elevate one player above another, rather than just enjoy the game as its played out, that there’s any difference.

I would say it's similar to what I asked younger kids I coached .... Do you prefer to win? Or do you have the passion to win? It shows on the field, court, etc..

Well, that quote reminds me of a coach asking a kid if he wanted to play 2nd base or if he wanted to play baseball. The player being asked was deep in the depth chart for MIF, but was needed elsewhere on the field.

I think the answer to that question helps answer the original question posted by floridafan.
