Runner on first. Pitcher comes to set position.

1) Spins from the rubber and throws the ball out of play attempting to pick the runner off first.

2) Same as 1) except that pitcher steps back off the
rubber before throwing the ball out of play.

How many bases awarded to runner on first in each case? Thanks.

1 from the rubber, which includes any move in which F1 doesn't first "step off/disengage the rubber.

2 from off the rubber.
