Bat hitting the ball a 2nd time

B1 hits the ball and it bounces off the ground in front of the plate where it strikes B1's bat a 2nd time. B1 has both feet out of the box at the time and it was not intentional. Is this a base hit? Any rule book #'s to support?

Case Book8.4.1 Situation A: After bunting the ball, B3's bat which is still in his hand, unintentionally strikes the ball a second time in fair territory while (a) he is still in the batters box or (b) he is outside the batters box.
RULING In (a), It is a foul ball. In (b) the ball is dead and the batter is out.
