Good. I found him very helpful.

This video he provided for me about hitting inside and outside pitches, this is what I teach my hitters and I think this video demonstrates it well.

Hitting inside and outside pitches as a rotational hitter.

Again, why are the shoulders rotating? See it deeper. The shoulders are not EDIT pulling to rotate. What is the correlation between the hips and shoulders? How about between the hips and hands/hand torque? How about the hands and the rear shoulder?

Also, what is the barrel doing in all of the above.

Hitting is a simple thing. good luck with your search.

Watch the belt buckle in both clips. Look at the lines Mankin has drawn on the clips. Where is his belt buckle in relation to those lines in both clips. He is able to drive the outside pitch because he thrusts in the direction of the hit. He lines his belt buckle to probable contact point BEFORE "go" and thrusts and unwinds his stretch in that direction. The front arm extension he uses on the outside pitch in this clip was an on the fly adjustment to keep his hands and the triangle behind the ball and to keep his stretch balanced around a rear hip pivot point. I believe Mr. Mankin believes the axis of rotation is the spine and this is one of the places he goes wrong. I give Mr. Mankin lots of respect because it was one of his demo swings that helped me understand the role of forearm rotation in the swing.

Showme,

Have you ever achieved "effortless power" in a swing - either baseball or golf? Did you feel your shoulders pull? Did you draw power from your shoulders? Last night I had two players feel "it" for the first time. High school sophomores (on the smaller side) swinging wood bats. They said it felt like swinging a whiffle ball bat and the ball exploded off the bat with what felt like no effort. Do you work with players who feel that?

My playing career is over. I get mad because nobody ever taught me a swing that felt like that. I had it in games, but never in BP. It is against the majority of what is taught, it is hard to feel... and it is exactly what players should be taught from a young age. It is profound.

Bobby would you mind filling us in on how you teach this because I would love to start producing better baseball players and watching them succeed. This is not a joke. I want my boys to get something out of what i am teaching them and if yours is better I would love to use it.

I do not need you guys arguing over what is right or wrong, just tell me your opinion and I will take what I believe is the most correct thing to do. Then after that you guys can argue or discuss all you want. Thanks.

Johnny your wise for your years, in my opinion the enclosed three video's will take you a long way.

Thanks and good luck Bryan @ [http://www.hittingmadesimple.com Hitting Made Simple]

HMSimple - Duplicitous self-promotion will quickly eliminate any credibility you may have had. Not to mention that any time someone says "...only one way...," its a clear sign that there are multiple paths. Sorry to be so critical, but your post was over the top and caught me on a bad day - 18" of snow in the forecast and 3 games on the schedule!
I read it. Superficial and shallow advice that has been given many times by others. Self promotion might be OK, if it has some real insight, but a rehash of what has been done already is not really beneficial. I am not trying to promote anyone in particular, but if you took a unique look at a subject like Perry Husband did over at hittingisaguess, then you would get some interest and maybe start some interesting discussion.
