I been looking for a new bat for the 2012 season as USSSA is going to BBCOR bats this year. The CF4 -3 bat my son is useing will not be illegal. As I was looking at differnt bats reviews I came a cross this add. Is this not altering a bat?

" According to IronGloves.com a bat warmer has many different positive influences on the bat. The product is description is below.

This is one of baseball’s hottest new products this year. It protects and insulates bats by keeping them 32% warmer, which translates to a more reactive bat with less damage in colder temperatures. Adds distance and velocity for the hitter. The BAT INSULATOR is ideal for softball and baseball bats alike, it was a semi-finalist for Sports Product of the Year. Big Barrel (2 5/8″ – 2 3/4″). Proudly Made in the USA. 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed."
I know rolling and shaving bats are illegal becouse this is altering so would not warming a bat be altering also?

Rule 1-5-1c: Clarified that shaving, rolling or artificially warming the bat barrel are prohibited.

In essence if you keep the bats in the hot sun you should expect better performance. I guess that would negate the rule piaa_upm quoted

I remember when you grabbed a bat and as long as it had tape on it, it was good enough.
