bats for the rest of the country

Sometimes I speak (type) before I think things all the way through...

A few addidtional thoughts come to mind...

1. Has it been considered to have a "used gear for sale" section on the site where maybe HSBBW can take a cut to help subsidize the site?

2. Back to the bats, if someone knows of a player or school that TRULY can't afford even a bargain used one, let me know and I am willing to send one if you cover shipping.

Cabagedad - I saw this on another site:

I wanted to request your help with a project. Last year we went to Rio Verde, Mexico with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to do a sports camp for kids.

It was an awesome experience. However, when we saw the equipment we would be using for the camp we realized we didn't have much and the kids have no resources to get their own.

So as a result we set a goal for us to collect new or used baseball equipment to take back with us in June of 2011 and give them to the kids. If you would like to participate by asking your players and parents for donations of their old equipment it would really be helping these kids - age 5 through 20.

We need to ship them to Texas to be taken into Mexico so sometime in May would be great.
