Last night we had a big game against one of the top teams in the state. We had runners on 1st and 2nd 1 out. A very good contact hitter at the plate. Coach calls a hit and run. Hitter swings through and misses. The catcher gets up to throw our player stays in the batters box, the catcher throws into our batter. Interference is called and runners go back. Is this correct. I always thought that the batters box was the batters box, not the catchers box. I thought that as long as the batter stayed in the box then he was alright and the catcher had to avoid him? Wont do any good now but I was just wandering for future refernce.
