I had two flavors today:

R1 stealing second, batter steps across the plate, catcher makes contact and throws through. Interference called, batter out runner returned, score put out to catcher, erase the SB and send the runner back. Batter retired on interfernce.

Later, no outs, R1 stealing second, batter has two strikes and swings and misses for strike three then interferes with the throw to second. Batter is out on the K, runner is called out on the interference for double play. I didn't have a rulebook handy and was using a palm, which tends to do things itself, so not sure who got credit for the putout. In my book (which I keep because I just don't trust the gadget), I gave the putout to the shortstop covering and an assist to the catcher.

Not sure if I did it all correctly, but you don't often see both of these in the same game. Should get a few bonus points from the umpire forum for explaining these calls to the irate fans of the other team. They actually accepted the argument once we talked through the rules and avoided ugliness (of course they won the game).

Our opponent's scorekeeper is a good friend and we had some fun working through this. He yielded to me on these calls. I yielded to him late in the game when a ball went into the RF corner out of my view. He said E-9, so I went with it. For once a box score between a Chandler & Gilbert high school will match...
