I am thinking of building a Batting Cage frame out of 2” EMT Pipe and making the connections using EMT Compression Couplings. I have seen Cages built out of EMT but I have not seen the EMT Couplings used. Has anyone tried this or see any problems using these Couplings? I know there must be Electricians here who are familiar with this Pipe.

goingyard,
I'm not an electrician so I don't know all the options, but that approached worked fine for me. The only thing was the couplings I used had external screws, and they had to be taped over so the net wouldn't hang up on them. You can also use a smaller/larger EMT combination to facilitate a removeable union for the base. Only advice is to buy the heaviest netting, the cheap stuff won't last.
