Wow did't see that one coming with courtland losing to KG. or even the fact caroline beat spotsy by a score like that.

When your team including the pitcher has to run 24 poles(right foul pole along fence to left foul pole and back equals 1 pole) besides the normal running at practice the night before a 4:30 game doesnt help any. Courtlands JV lost also, pitchers just didnt have any legs left.
Thursday's Games:

Joe Stevens went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and pitcher Jordan Queen allowed only two hits in five innings to help Eastern View get a Battlefield District win.

why would a coach make a pitcher run 24 poles the day before a early scheduled game?
Probably something like:
24 poles =
they couldn't find 6 foul balls at the previous game, made a couple errors, and had five strikeouts.

So....they play worse because of being tired and have a bad attitude towards the coach.

IMO Coach Davenport has to EARN respect, not jam his new found authority down their throats. He is a good man, and I believe he can be a very good head coach. But,he must adjust his style of coaching and be more of a players coach. This is what got him there in the first place and made him the best assistant coach my son ever played for. The team has to want to go to battle for the coach out of respect, not fear or dislike.IMO

Go Spotsy
Beat Chancellor tonight
