Bauer to UCLA early

Read in the paper this morning that Trevor Bauer from Hart high is passing up his senior season in HS to play for UCLA in 2009.

My understanding is that Bauer, although shorter and right-handed, threw harder and may have been more effective than the other ace of their staff, Michael Montgomery, a tall lefty who was the #36 pick overall. I don't know how old Bauer is.
