FYI, I've heard numerous complaints from parents and players alike that many Legion coaches strongly urge their players NOT to participate because of schedule conflicts, right or wrong, it happens. The Legion season is very intense with a lot of games being played in a very short period of time, so they want ALL their players there, and fresh. If I want to get in front of recruiters though, the BS Big Grin games are the way to go! Just don't expect your Legion coach to be happy.
My son played in the 2002 Bay state Games. The limit from a Legion team is 2 players may attend. We did not have an ounce of trouble from the Legion coach but are aware of other boys who were denied the ability to attend by their coaches(which I find despicable...are they paying for your college education?). I can not say enough about the Bay State games...there was approximately 300 scouts in attendance and it opened many a door for my son....best of luck.

My son participated in last years Baystate Games.
And yes it was very well run and had great school and scout presence. It was top shelf all the way around. We already had a good idea he would be attending Boston College but it did generate a lot of interest from several schools. He had a great time and it was fun to play with and against some players he had heard of but not yet met. It is fun to see him now in his senior year talking with several players around his league who he really didn't know before. If your son can make the team in his region he should not miss this. Don't let the Legion team bully you. But if they ask you not to pitch on any given day I think you should respect that. Hope this helps.
