BB vs SB Hitting

I posted this same question on a SB board. Curious if I will get the same responses here that I will there.

What is the difference between a power BB and SB swing? Personally, I don't see much, if any, difference.

The reason I ask is because I have 2 boys who I have always worked with and now it time to start working with my daughter. Unless someone has can convince me otherwise, she's gonna swing like both of her brothers.

I argue that men and women don't have different golf swings, different bowling techniques, or different successful running techniques at a very high level. Therefore, the way i see it, there isn't a difference. I have seen your girl hit and she is on the right track. Mechanics are mechanics and she will hit if she listens to some people that you are associated with and if she is worth her weight in salt.

The fact that softball players can have one foot out of the box changes a few things. Think about what you would do if you could be 5 feet closer to first at contact. Plus the obvious distance difference and there are more ways to get to first in softball than baseball.

It changes things. Pretty obvious .
