Would it be a good idea to get a BBCOR for any metal bat showcase tournament s I am attending this summer? Do the college coaches want to see players swinging BBCOR already?

If your playing showcase where college coaches will be attending I would swing what every other player is swinging. Unless you are going to announce to everyone there "Hey I am swinging a BBCOR bat so dont judge me the same as these other guys."

I would think another side to the question would be what bats will the tournaments allow? I know a number of the summer showcase tourneys are wood bat, so that is an easy answer there, but for those that allow metal, you might want to check with your coach to see what the tourneys will allow...Then, I'd take Coach May's advice and swing what everyone else is swinging...

So I should bring wood, BESR, and BBCOR to every showcase this summer just to be safe?
I would assume your coach would be able to tell you what type of bat each tournament will allow...Not sure if any will require BBCOR...but, my son carried two or three wood bats and his metal bat last year pretty much everywhere although I think he left the metal bat at home when we went to the WWBA tourney...
