Beginning this year Texas high schools and I believe most if not all states will be going to the BBCOR bat. Does anybody have any idea how the new bats will impact recruiting at the college level? In other words what type of players/skills do you believe college recruiters will seek out or do you believe there will be no changes. Your thoughts are appreciated. Please focus on position skills as well as hitting skills. Any insight you have heard from college coaches will also be appreciated.

It will depend upon the school's system. They all have oneWink
Some are more defensive minded, some more offensive minded. Some look for the .250 batting average "power guy", others look for the higher average, in a speed player that can, drag/push, hit-and-run. Player's bat ratings, will suffer, no doubt.

Much better, than the pitcher's suffering Smile
In the quest for the hottest bat. The exit speeds, had gotten way out of hand.

Glove ratings and velo, will not change, they just keep slowly rising.

Just like getting rid of the Roids, HGH, and pills I believe the bat change, brings about the true nature of the game .
