Camp Details
National Infield Camps is designed for young players who are interested in improving their Infield skills.

Players of all levels are welcome. Players will be grouped according to age and ability.
General Information
What to Expect:
To become a good infielder you must first understand the technique that is needed. Then you must get the necessary repetitions to enforce your muscle memory to take over, and then the skill becomes second nature.
Campers learn what the proper fielding position feels like, and an understanding of what fielding below the level of the ball is about and why it's so important. Good infielders have great vision on ground balls and our campers will learn how to catch the ball with their hands out front. Time will also be spent on throwing, by improving the feet of the infielder to improve his throwing action. Campers will learn the basic principles of turning the double play, the standard on which all infielders are measured.
Additional Option: Professional Video Analysis
Players will be evaluated personally with Video Analysis software and have the chance to have their defensive mechanics broken down by a Professional Instructor. Professional Instructors will provide an evaluation of feedback, changes and recommend drills to help fix or improve your defensive mechanics. Add this option on the registration page.
Players receive:
*5 hours of professional instruction

Director: Garrett Patterson
Coach Patterson is a 12 year veteran of our camp system having grown up in it in the Seattle area. After starring at Kentridge High School, he weighed offers from Fresno State and University of Nevada before choosing the Wolfpack. Garrett finished his playing career at NAIA powerhouse Lewis & Clark State. With over 300 camps under his belt, Coach Patterson's knowledge of this system is unique. National Infield Camp Owner, Dave Smart talks about what Coach P. brings to a camp setting. " GP brings so much energy to our camps that it becomes contagious. Having played at the highest level collegiately, he has been where most kids want to go. He can not only demonstrate the skill but he can also teach it".
What to bring:
Each player must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, baseball hat, cleats and tennis shoes or turf shoes. As coaches, we would like to see the kids in baseball pants. Make sure to dress appropriate to weather forecast.
Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate.
