I'm only somewhat familiar with their program. Solid, Division I, AAA baseball program. Good coaching and talent. Always competetive.

Beech played in the Championship game of the Warrior Classic in Murfreesboro in 2003. I believe they finished as runnerup.

According to CoachT.com last year's record was 13-17-2. If so, it doesn't reflect the strength of the program.

They have advanced 4 players to college play in the past 3 years -- a pretty good record.
My wife and I are planning a move to the Nashville area within the next year or so. I have family down there (my father is from there) and we've enjoyed our time down there the past couple of years. Not to mention the fact that we're sick of the cold Minnesota winters.

We've been looking at homes online in the Beech High School boundaries (Goodlettsville) and was curious about the baseball program. I have a 12 year old son that plays baseball, which is why I'm interested in hearing about the program. Right now we're looking at the Hendersonville/Goodlettsville area along with the Franklin/Brentwood area.

P.S. Welcome to the board. Wink

Flipp,

I can't speak as to exactly why the Beech program hasn't been as successful as the Hendersonville High School program with the two being only five miles apart. All I can do is share our experience at Hendersonville. Our son got to go to two state tournaments in 2000 and 2003, and saw seven of his nine senior teammates sign college scholarships in 2003. Hendersonville is a great school, possibly one of the best in the state academically for a public school with a great faculty, principal. The baseball program is one of the most successful as well as the many other sports. They have a great indoor facility. Their baseball coach has been there for over 15 years and his assistant graduated from Beech and now works at Hendersonville if that tells you anything. They have a great summer program for their high school kids and very competitive travel teams starting at age 13 in Hendersonville. All the Sumner Co. schools are great, but ask anyone and they'll probably tell you if you want the best of academics and athletics you better go to Hendersonville. Just one person's opinion. Best of luck in moving down and good luck to your son. By the way the website for Hendersonville and Beech are: www.hendersonvillehighschool.com and www.eteamz.com/hhsbaseball and www.bucsbaseball.com and www.beechbucs.com
Hi Flipp how's it going.
Beech is a good school as is Hendesonville.
They both have good programs but for the last few years Hendersonville has done very well.
Both are schools that have very good parent involvment and a lot of pride in their school.
Beech does have a very unusual field, very short LF with a very high net.
