Quality baseball video from the 1920s is virtually nonexistent. Here's a recently discovered 16mm silent HOME MOVIE of the 1929 Wold Series taken at Wrigley Field (Cubs/Phila As). The quality is amazing, better than professional newsreel footage from that time.

Stunning to watch the duel between the pitcher and two batters in surprising close-up.

I love the cadKIDS (OfcrKIDS) at the beginning. Wrigley hasn't changed much... in fact the beer guy in Sec 106 in the film... I think he still works there...
