2022 Axe Avenge Pro Hybrid
Really not a fan of two piece bats. Probably means we are SOL.
My son has been an axe/victus bat swinger throughout his HS career. For college he was using the Axe 34" 2019 Elite one and the 33.5" 2022 Dovetail tremor as he prefers end loaded. So what is he using during games? His team mate's Marucci Cat X...go figure.
I am assuming by indicating bbcor you mean NOT a drop 3 wood bat. But aluminum for college ball.
I don't think anyone else has the rights to make an axe handle aluminum/hybrid bat but Axe, just wood.
The new one piece aluminum from Axe is the Strato, we have no experience with it, but it has good initial reviews. My son uses the Elite One bbcor one-piece (2022) and an older red hyperwhip (2017), he also doesn't like 2-piece bats. he likes his Elite One, supposedly smaller sweet spot than the Strato, but I prefer he learn to barrel the ball vs feeling good on wherever he makes contact. He does to.
I asked my son today. He said he probably won't use an axe for BBCOR but probably would with wood.
I think your kid should look at pro xr handles as well. Dovetail, Maxbat and others make them.
