Anyone have any recommendations?

Francis;
During our days with the Area Code games, Topps one of our Sponsors provided a seat cushion every pro scout [300] who attended the games. It included a side pocket for the papers and stop watch. Several scouts have retained this cushion for 20 years. It was a "classic". Thank you Sy Berger.

I only use one on bench bleachers, the kind that folds up and has a hook underneath so you can lean back and not fall backwards. If that’s what you’re looking for, my only recommendation is to get one with the extra thick butt cushion, not the thin one. I think I got mine for around $20 but that was 5-6 years ago.
Francis, I'm a seating connoisseur. My fat keister has been on a variety over the years.
My vote is for:
1. Bulky but plush: https://www.amazon.com/Nova-Mi...26553969985&th=1
2. Lifted ass off the metal: https://www.dickssportinggoods.com/p/gci-outdoor-big-comfort-stadium-chair-with-armrests-17gciubgcmfrtstdmodr/17gciubgcmfrtstdmodr?Product=ProductSuggest
Thanks @Dadbelly2023
Fine. Don’t thank me for saving your butt cheeks. 😁

LOL. Thanks Lefty!
This stadium seat was the most comfortable for me. Both high schools my three sons attended sold these seats (about $35 at the time and worth every penny), and it lasted forever. Extremely durable and washable. Mine was not exactly like the picture shows, but it was made of a very heavy canvas in the backing and seating areas. I ended up giving it away to a buddy who's son made the JV team after my kids were done. I was passing the torch if you will. Good luck in your best bleacher seat cushion search.

Thanks Fenway!

I second this. I got the extra wide ones for my parents since they are retired, "professional spectators" now.

Yes, this is very similar to what I have. The extra padding makes it so much more comfortable.
It looks like Stadium Chair was recently purchased and rebranded as "Dreamseat Gamechanger" but it's the one with the heavy canvas, swivel hook and and bulletproof metal construction like @fenwaysouth shared. Super comfortable, and the back panel can be swapped out if you get the urge to change colors.

I don't think that's the same chair. I think that one is like the GCI one I have. Fenway and TL's have got a nice padded seat. This looks like it.
Ah yes. The Stadium Chair is based on a suspended canvas. You can leave it out in the rain, and there is no foam to swamp.
For HS purposes I found that the best seat is my feet. Offers quick exit from toxic parents and easy pacing-around whilst the kid is pitching.

Speaking of the back panel being swapped out.....one of my youngest son's teammates parent had the same seat we had, but something happened to the back panel. I didn't get the full story. Nonetheless, the parent took a whole roll of duct tape and created his own form fitting back panel between the two metal posts. Highly functional stadium seat conversion. However, the aesthetics were in the eye of the beholder.
I bought a 2-pack of Costco stadium seats (one for me, and one for whomever - spouse, grandparent makes it that game) that has done super-duty in multiple states over the past few years. Suspends you comfortably off the cold bleachers. Dries quickly since we often play in yuck. https://www.costco.com/cascade...oduct.100476320.html
Love it for all but air travel, so I also have a super-light cushion with a handle from DSG that we use for those trips - no back support, but absolutely fine for air travel and super-easy to pack in a carry on. They sell these just about everywhere, plain or with just about any team logo you may want.

Does the GCI actually keep your rear off the metal? I’m 2 bills+ and would love one of those if it will support me.
I hardly ever sit in bleachers. We always bring GCI rocking chairs. I know that will likely change for college
The GCI keeps my buttocks off the metal. The fabric does stretch out a little bit over time. If you are really bigger, I suppose there is a chance you might hit cold metal in a small baseball sized spot. Might be refreshing actually...
I have been using this for about 5 years and it served me well and easy to carry. A lot of great suggestions here and I will be upgrading for 2024
Ended up getting these because they seemed easy to carry.
Anybody have feedback on packing any of these in a carry on? I bought the GCI and it is incredibly comfortable, but won’t fit in a carry on or even a mid size checked back

Haha, a mom last year stuck in in the extra spot in her husband's suitcase, but I did not get the impression it was a carry on. He was also willing to carry it (those chairs are not light). I just bring my bench cushion when we need to fly, as it is super light-weight and doesn't take up too much space in a carry on.
