Best Dallas area fields

No question, Bishop Lynch. The outfield reminds you of the fairways at Augusta!

Well, can they send the guys that take care of the BL outfield over to their football field?
It's not looking so good. Especially during s****r season.

I have posted this before, but I believe Sunnyvale is one of, if not the best, field in the area. The turf makes maintenance easy.

Irving Nimitz looks horrible now and Keller isn't that great

Some cool turf fields are Highland Park and Jesuit

Drive by Prestonwood's field and take a look at it. Stunning.

I hear some HS games are being played on a yard in Arlington and Frisco...

Them places ain't too shabby.

Heck, when I was a kid, we had to play on rock field bare footed.

Lewisville's field is incredible year after year! Don't understand how it looks 10 times better than all the other LISD fields when it is supposed to have equitable treatment by the district maintenance crews. Why can't the other LISD fields get the same tender loving care?

I completely agree. Lewisville is a great field. I also think that Lake Dallas and Guyer are decent as well.

I agree with prestonwood but have no idea about lewisville. I should check it out.

Jesuit is a great turf field.

Coach Sheppard @ W T White does a great job on his field. Lot's of TLC.

I'm surprised Coppell or Plano West's fields haven't gotten some love. The collegiate Coppell Copperheads play at Coppell's field so it's always in top shape. I think these two parks are about as nice as you can get in high school baseball.

Sounds like you're talking about fields more than facilities, but if you have not been out to Plano in a couple of years, you won't recognize it.

The booster club has put in wood fences down both lines, a weight room, a locker room, a coaches office, a covered batting cage, a practice field, additional practice mounds, new sound system, new paint and logos and new brick work. It is incredible the transformation over the last couple of years. There are some very committed dads that have done an awful lot of work.

Now we'll just need to top it off by getting some playoff games into the yard this spring.

How about Reverchon before HB past away. the field is still nice but man, he really took care of it.

Forgot to mention, Reverchon is the home field for a few dallas ISD teams. Its to bad they dont have their own field in their schools backyard, but those schools are lucky that Dallas isd doesnt have to fund the field otherwise it would look like Higgins! lol what a joke, i really feel bad for the kids at S.O.C. and Kimball high schools.

I really like Richardson High School. Coach Hope and Smiga have done a lot of work to improve the facility.

Arlington Martin has a great field. It's been in great shape since the early 90's.

One of the worst playing fields around.

Not due to lack of attention, but the many years of play built lips around the infield that would impress a surgeon.

Grapevine HS's field.

Most fields do have a little lip here and there. i've never been on the field at the ballpark in Arlington, but Reverchon is pretty good. and like you said there is the history and atmosphere. Bottom line where there is money, there will most likely be a nice field

Without a doubt. There is a 12"-18" drop from home plate to the backstop. From the foul lines there can be drops from 1 -2 feet to the fences. For infielders going back into the outfield for pop ups, sometimes they drop out of sight if your in the dugout.
