Hey guys,

I am wondering what showcases/camps in August will have the best exposure for a 2012 INF looking at mostly solid academic D3 (NESCAC's mostly, as well as some good southern schools) programs and a few smaller D1's (Ivy, Patriot League). I play on a very competitive and high exposure summer team, so I am all booked up from June-August (last event is Blue Chip Prospects Aug 1-6th). I am already attending PG Northeast Top prospect august 12-14, as well as Headfirst 10-11th. Are there any "stanford like" camps that occur in August? I would travel anywhere, but preferably stay in the northeast. Thanks.

Spartans2b,

Your summer schedule looks a lot like my son's summer schedule two years ago. Headfirst and PG Academic should get you a lot of looks if you are a top player with great academics to back it up. In addition, leave some time for the Fall to follow up with some schools to attend their specific select camp. The HeadFirst and specific college camp worked well for us. In addition, if you are being recruited by Ivys you may spend some time for official visits/interviews in the Fall. Good luck.
You may want to look at GPA Baseball Camp (Grades Plus Athletics). Although its August camp is a conflict with what you are currently doing, you may get better bang for your buck, considering your son's academic ability.

It is run by coaches of 7 top academic schools, which include Penn, Yale, Cornell, Georgetown, Brown, Wake Forest, and Richmond.

Also, do you have him at SelectFest in NJ?
