Agree 100% with 3100. Scott's a class act.

In addition to Scott. May I throw (no pun intended) two more names into the mix;

Bill Copp - worked out of the WSA last year (2003). I believe he took a position as pitching coach at Valpo. Great guy who, along with the mechanics, teaches the mental game (art) of piching.

Mike Palmer - Works out of The Ball Yard in Elmhurst. I can't say enough about Mike. He takes a "complete" approach to pitching. Mike teaches balance, mechanics, stretching, strength and conditioning. Mike knows and understands how to keep pichers health.

I know that Scott is a great guy, and from what I hear, he certainly knows his stuff.

I would also like to throw Pat Whealy's name out there (he works at strikes as well). I personally am not a pitcher, so I couldn't tell you which guy's ideas are better than the next, but I think that a huge advantage that Pat's students have is that they throw to live hitters all winter. Throwing bullpens to a catcher can only do so much for you. I believe strongly that facing live batters/pitchers is THE BEST way to improve yourself as a player and prepare for the season. Plus, Pat is an amazing person and is very positive. Any kid will love him.
dennisr400,

Will do. Keep us posted on how Brandon is doing! He is a fine young man with a bright future. One of the best LHPs in the state if not the midwest. Give Bill my best when you talk to him. He had a tremendous impact on Joe. You meet some of the best individuals through this game.
