My son got hooked back in college on Cliff Bars served during gametime in the dugout (in proball too), but you have to watch the contents on each one. He eats others but he thinks the are the best tasting and I agree. You can buy them by the box in walmart, costco.
I eat the oatmeal raisin in lieu of lunch three times a week.
The thing is virtually no protein bar actually meets label claims. And, in most cases, the protein source is very, very poor.

While they are convenient, they are not healthy in most cases. Its very difficult to make a bar that tastes good, provides proper nutrition AND can have any kind of shelf-life.

But certainly, they are very convenient.

I'd suggest making your own. Natural peanut butter, some protein powder, dried skim milk powder, dried fruit (no sugar added) and you can make your own great tasting, good for you bars.
You are right, but tell that to a kid who has no time in between classes to eat or before practice so companies make a lot of money on conveniece.

There are many out there son also uses Detour and Promax, you just have to read and decide which one would be most beneficial and what you need them for and which ones don't taste too disgusting. Smile
