My son was in Baltimore, playing left field for Norfolk State against Coppin State. Unfortunately, the results were not good. But there still is a lot of baseball to be played.
First hand,
Son was recruited, we visitied and were told had only 5 scholarships but were willing to give partial. He didn't go but my impression supports the origianl post. The school is so small and the tuition so high $16K per year (2002 out of state) for a JC that I truly believe the coaches are "encouraged' to get walk-ons to pad the enrollment.
Look at the current roster numbers...last time I checked this fall I believe they listed 47 players?
let the buyer beware.

I agree with all aspects of this conversation. I see all sides of it, so to be honest, I apologize if I offended anyone. I'm sure some people aren't happy at every school, maybe some more that others, maybe not. I just put in my opinion and let it be known. I thought that's what message boards are for? I guess not, but that's ok too, because I see what is trying to be accomplished by not allowing trash to be talked. So, I hope all the other stuff being said on here negatively is stopped as well. I would just prefer the truth be told and not have to worry about it. If you tell the truth then what do you have to be ashamed of? That goes for the colleges as well as the players that throw 98 mph and run 6.2 60s. Just tell the truth and no one will be dissapointed.
