Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All American Game ….anyone know anything about it?  I used to hear a lot about BF, but haven’t heard much in a couple of years. Son is a 2025 and we’ve yet to do any kind of showcase/all American type games. He thinks this “might be something”. I say, I don’t think so. Especially at around $850 and 8+/- hours away.  Thoughts?

Get on their site and try and find an easy way to search for ten players in your state.   It can't be done.  Imagine being a college coach trying to mine their website for players.   they make it easy to find their events and top ranked players.  Not much else.  They focus on asking for money not giving schools a useful database of talent.  Not much value for a player to put up metrics nobody will ever be able to find.  JMO

Not a good showcase IMO. Especially for that price. If you are just looking for a showcase to let him get a feel for what it is like you can find something much cheaper. And as Bandera said, they don't do anything with the data/metrics from the showcase.

My son did a showcase last January that cost $50. Just a local thing ran by a mid-size tournament company. They had him at a 1.9 pop with 82 down to second. There is zero evidence of it on their website. Thankfully I took a screenshot of the tweet. My point is you can find a much cheaper alternative that will provide you with the same or better experience.

My son and I attended January of his sophomore year. What I recall is that a number of talented players attended. It was also the first time a MLB scout approached him and recognized son's speed would be his carrying tool. At the time he was focused on college recruiting (this event seemed to have more MLB reps than college). More than anything I remember that it was a nice father-son trip which we left snowing New England for sunny Arizona. That sort of outweighed our BF, hotel, and flight costs.
