Biceps DEFINITELY need to be worked. If triceps are worked a significant amount more than the biceps, an imbalance and an injury are very likely. There are other excercises that are more beneficial to baseball players that strengthen the biceps then curls.
These excercises include but are not limited to:
Pull-ups/Chin ups and its variations Rope Climb (unorthodox but very effective) Power/Hang Clean
