I was fortunate to get to see BigHit's son play tonight. He has done well and made his league's All-Star Team. Tonight, he threw 12 pitches and recorded 3 Ks. He brought some big time heat and mixed in a nice breaking pitch on one of the Ks.

After the game, I was lucky enough to get to talk to him for a brief time. BigHit has much to be proud of. Eric is a very nice young man. Although he didn't know me, he took the time to stop and speak. There were several kids that noticed this and thus he was instantly engaged in signing autographs. He signed for every kid there. It appears that the apple truly doesn't fall too far from the tree. Congratulations and here's hoping all goes well with Eric's career.

Coach, thanks for sharing this!

It's great to hear about Eric doing so well. I have tried to keep up on his career but got a little behind. I have also heard from at least one HSBBWeb mom who got to meet Eric over dinner, that not only is he a nice, fine young man, but he is even more handsome in person than on his baseball cards!
