My dentist was trying to sell me on a nightguard to keep me from grinding my teeth in my sleep and knowing my son plays baseball, he gave me a flyer for the underarmour guard. He said I didn't need this, but that lots of players were using these now (I think more for mouth protection), including his son who is going to a D1 this fall. He's a good dentist and an even better salesman, but I passed.
Haven't seen these- how expensive are they? In contact sports it has been proven that a good well fitting mouth guard does decrease concussion symptoms.

As a dental professional for many years I have seen the devastation that clenching or grinding can do to the teeth. If you wear a night guard religiously it will protect the teeth from excessive damage and wear.
