What kind of experiences has anyone had with these showcases. Which one's are the best, as they offer many? If you have to make time/money choices, would you choose these over the Honor Roll or the Best in VA? I have heard some disappointment in the old posts from 2005. How was last year? which are the best for exposure for Junior HS player.

I will be interested to see where they hold them, this year, as I "think" that colleges are prohibited from holding showcases on their campuses.

Anyhow, we went to the one 2 years ago at Coastal, it was after some schools had started, and over 100 degrees there, and JT, Jr was wore out from the long legion season. Not a good plan.

The BEST we've gone to was BIV. I recommend it without reservation. We were pleased with the B-G, in terms of how it was run, but the timing, for us, was bad.
BG's best performance normally seems to be at Wake Forest, followed by William and Mary. 3-4 years ago, both were excellent, but the last time we were at BG-William & Mary, during summer of 2005, the number of college coaches present was disappointing. (roughly 15 or so as compared to close to 40 a couple years earlier).

Best In Virginia is tops, and sign up early as it sells out every year. If your son can try out for Commonwealth Games, by all means do so. It's hard to make, but clearly number 1 for exposure in the Commonwealth.
