I received a call from a guy in Boston who represents a Blue/Grey classic showcase to be held in August at LSU.
Do any of you know anything about this showcase? Is it legit?

Well, HOWDY JIM! Now, a name like that makes it difficult to hide! 
I have a high school buddy in Ohio that sent his son to a Blue/Grey Showcase at Wake Forest last year. It seems the B/G events occur primarily on the east coast. The kid did good and drew interest from a number of DII schools in that area (the Carolinas). This was their target so it worked out nicely for them. There are several topics on Blue/Grey events in the Tournament and Showcases Forum. If I recall, our friends enjoyed the event -- it was well-run.
If you are targeting a specific area or conference, their schedule might include a nice fit. Of course, there are travel costs, etc.
I doubt there there is a KC BLUE/GREY. Their website is...

There was that guy from Boston at the recent Baton Rouge tourney....hmmmm....he claimed to be from the major league scouting bureau.
