I don't want to sound harsh, but as a fan I hope the Illini aren't giving a scholarship to Bo. I'm hopeing that the Cubs and/or Tigers are picking up his tuition so Zook can use a scholarship on another player.

I played ball against Bo throughout high high school and am disapointed that he couldn't advance throught the minors like he'd hoped. Class act guy from a class family. I wish him the best.

More importantly, above anything else. What position is he going to play? They have Juice at QB for the next 3 years. TE with a few added lbs., WR, LB, maybe even a strong safety? He'll be a great addition to the locker room with the experiences he's had over the last four years.
il2008, this is a great story!

There aren't too many guys that I'm aware of who can say they played baseball professionally then went to a great university for free (full ride is the deal, isn't it?). While he's at it, he may as well play for a Big 10 football program, just for grins.

I wish Bo the very best even though he already is doing something very few people ever get to do.

Bo knows...

I wish I could tell my grandkids this story. Actually, I probably will. Roll Eyes
