Regardless of whether you like him or can't stand him, you have to admit it would be interesting to see what Bonds could do in the middle of the Yankees lineup. Having those hitters in front of and behind him would be worth watching, if only for a year.

Yes the Yankee lineup would be interesting, but wouldn't he clog the bases. I realize that most teams play station to station, but his knees are really bad. The price tag will be between 16 and 20 million.

Giants can't afford to have him in left field another year. They made their money off of him with the record chase. Now he is just a liability. I look for the Giants to go very young.

The Yankees do need a first baseman. Hopefully the Yankees can get Kevin Brown and the Unit back, coax Big Mac out of retirement and lock Clemens up to a long term deal. I hear Joe Peppitone is available.
