Well, yes and no. I didn't assume that hurricane knew that AA was professional ball but kind of hoped that hurricane knew. To sign a professional contract is a tremendous feat regardless of level. You are a professional player from that point on. I know thousands of players (former as well) including myself who would give anything to get the opportunity to just sign the contract and get a chance. Then, to make it to AA is that much sweeter. AAA still looms for most and to be honest, somewhere between A and AAA is where the dream ends for most. Yes, AAA IS THE STOPPING POINT FOR MANY! IMHO, that does not diminish their accomplishments. I've coached several that have played at each level. I consider all of them professional ball players.
