What distance and speed should high level high school players see with tunnel BP. From 40 feet is 60mph good? Any good charts out there showing comparison to 60 feet. Personally trying to reproduce game situation.

According to the chart attached below, 60mph from 40 feet is equivalent to 91mph.

Thanks NYDAD2017 , Would like to know others approach to BP distance and speed. Curious what an overall average might be with high school and college coaches. More from an evaluation situation for a tryout/showcase. An incoming freshman in high school may have trouble with with 60 mph at 40 feet. But a high level D1 might not even put a helmet on to get some more swings at that speed and distance.
This is not the objective to tunnel hitting. Your goal is "work on your weakness" not try to muscle up". Can you see the "red seams" on the pitch.
Can you hit to opposite field whenever you need to? What is your objective? Will you hit .400 in HS? Why not?

I liked to throw from 50 feet and put some zip on it but not to the point a hitter could not work on stuff. My speed per being a HS coach was that I had to be able to throw to 18 hitters in a day so, I had to pace myself. Thus, the 50 feet. BTW, if we were going to work on breaking pitches, I might move back to 55 feet so that a hitter could see spin and work on that.
Having pitched over 10,000 throws never a sore arm, I agree 50' is perfect. Mix in a plastic cover baseball it acts like a slider!!!!
Tommy LaSorda - when he threw BP, a hitter said "throw harder". Tommy said "I am but the ball is taking longer to get to the plate". When we played the Japan National Team at Blair Field, I ask Tommy to make a speech to our demoralized American team. He did and the result is history.
