Has anyone had experience with the Brett Bros "Dragon Bamboo" bat? My son is playing on a fall woodbat team and we're looking for something a little more durable. Thanks.

While I don't know about the Brett bamboo bat, I can give you a very high rating on the Brett Bros. Master Maple model with the boa wrap on the handle. The wrap makes the bat much more durable for those hits up on the handle. Brett bats are excellent wood bats.

My son tried out another company's bamboo demo bat this past spring as a batting cage practice bat. It was a two piece model -- with an aluminum handle and bamboo barrel. After three weeks of slugging away with it in a batting cage, it looked like it had been through a war, but was still intact. His comment -- "I didn't like it very much".

Go with the Master Maple.
