This is the funniest part of night: Borbon arrived to park in 9th inning. Min later told to pinch run and given green light. Game over
You cannot run the bases in reverse order to make a travesty of the game.
But that's not what happened here. The runner thinking he was out, left second base but then retreated to first because he had nowhere else to go. Just a case of the runner not knowing the rules.
The defense also didn't know the rule or they could have gotten an easy out by tagging him when he left second base.
Remember this situation the next time a coach says " I was a pro player so I know the rules".
That might be the strangest thing I've ever seen in an MLB game.
