My older son plays for NC Wesleyan. I school I like. My younger son is in his junior year in HS and is now looking where he wants to go for college. A school at the top of his list currently is Bridgewater College. We have not visited them yet but I am looking for anyone's input on the school itself and the baseball program? He's looking to study Athletic training and the roster seems pretty small.

Bridgewater is an excellent school, academically and athletically. The Baseball program is solid year in and year out. They seem to normally hover near the top of the ODAC. Students are required to live on campus. The academic reputation is excellent and I've known several kids who went there and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Town of Bridgewater is just a few miles from Harrisonburg. It's a nice small town atmosphere where religion and sports are very important. Baseball is a big deal in the area and the local high school team is a frequent state title contender.

The baseball field is nice but nothing fancy. My sons' school played them twice a year every year and the players seem to like the coach. They appear to run a very good operation.

I have some good friends well-connected at Bridgewater so if you have specific questions, send me a PM and I'll see what I can find out for you.

Good luck to your son at NCW, except against the Captains!
