Son just got back from the Orhto guy and he has a break on right ring finger, right at the end. Tore part of the nail off so they stitched the nail and bone back in place. Anyone have a similar injury? The Dr says after the stictches come out it is a matter of pain tolerance. The playoffs are coming and I'm guessing the finger won't be hurting. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

NRPMom...I had a similar break some years back. Didn't have the stitches, but my doctor placed a finger cast on it and had me soak it in warm Epson Salt about twice a day. This drew the soreness from it and after the new nail pushed the old one off I was okay.

Check with your doctor to be sure that the salt water soaks won't adversely affect the stitches. If not, the salt water works wonders for soreness.
I have been playing with a dislocated right ring finger on the end for about a year now, it doesn't effect anything in my game, but i'm afraid because i didn't get it examined earlier i'm afraid they'll have to rebreak it so i think i'm gonna avoid the doc.s lol. but i did the same thing to my left middle finger and had it in a splint for a month or so its now 100% but the other one doesn't bother me anymore other than the fact its bent forward, and i dont' have an offseason or time to rehab it.
