I saw this link on twitter today and wanted to share it...good for Bryce Harper!  I recall that this board had plenty to say about Byce and his antics over the past couple of years, but this proves that the young 20 year old is maturing beyond his years.  Who knows, the boy wearing the Votto jersey may end up purchasing a Harper jersey in the near future?!

We are watching a tremendous talent mature before our eyes.  I've been very crititcal of Harpers actions prior to his ascent into MLB.  Jason Werth and the Nats have taken him under his wing, and helping him become a true professional.  He still has an edge to him, but it is a good edge.

If Bryce was in college, he would be a 20 year old sophomore.  He's come a long way in a short period of time.

I'm a big fan of Bryce Harper. I've been watching him since he was 11 years old and I love the way he plays the game. Has he had tantrums over the years?  Yes he has, but he's maturing.  And as fenwaysouth stated, Bryce would be a sophomore in college (two months older than my son) had he went the traditional route.

What amazes me, if the video was derrogatory, we would no doubt have a number of people piling on this kid.  Our society in general gravitates to the negative...just turn on the news.

I grew up in New York and was 6 years old when Derek Jeter won Rookie of the Year and was the shortstop on the World Series championship team.

The impact that Bryce Harper has on the city of DC, specifically the youth, is comparable to the impact Jeter had on my friends and me at the same age.

Every time I hear someone criticize Harper for his "attitude", I smile. They obviously don't know very much about baseball.
