On Thursday, my team will take on O'Fallon at the new Busch Stadium. We were honored by being asked by the St. Louis Cardinals to participate in this program. Coach Portz also put in a good word for us to enable us to get to play there. My kids are really "hyped" for the game. However, we have a very important game tomorrow (Wednesday) and we can't look past it. The format of the game is that we play after the Cardinals play. We sold tickets and I intend to get every player into the game that sold tickets. Coach Portz has the same goal. It is a shame that we have to have a winner or loser in this game but that is a IHSA regulation. I will hopefully get 32 kids into the game. It is a scorekeeper's nightmare! However, the smiles on those kid's faces will make it worth while.
