In our conference (the Anchorage area teams), there are 8 schools. 7 varsity and 7 JV teams overall. On Saturday, our varsity team which is tops in the state, played a middle of the pack team. We won the game. But here is where it becomes interesting. Their team has all seniors except for two juniors. Both of their juniors are decent players and one was the SP against us. Probably their 2nd best player. So after the game, JV played their team. Both juniors from V came down to play against us, which is legal. But is it fair to have the big guns come down? I gave up a bomb against their SP from varsity. Is it me being jealous or is it bush to bring down a stud who does not need more PT to come rake against us?

Not bush league at all.....In this case, as per your description, this middle of the pack team lost its varsity game against your team......then in the follow up JV contest 2 Junior players of varsity played against your team........

Many times a coach will use the JV team to get his eligible players more times at bat, or to work on pitcher/catcher combinations/ infield combos or just to give his next years starting team some time to come together as a team......There are many more reasons to play eligible players on JV that just playing time....If his season was just middle of the pack this year, the coach is fully within his rights and responsiblity to get time in working on next years team....

There is nothing bush about that.....you got stung.......thats baseball...
