I had the pleasure over the last few days for the second time to watch my son catch the son of another HSBBW member, as CADad's kid and Kremer kid both attended a camp at Pepperdine.

We watched in beautiful Malibu, the Pacific Ocean in the background, as gusts of 40 MPH swirled, making CADad son's lively hook even harder to handle.

And on offense, a couple of batters after CADad kid ripped a single to left, Kremer kid bounced him in with a ground ball to second.

Pretty fun to meet up with other members and their sons! Although at some point, Kremer Kid will have to bat against one of them rather than catch him!

Rob- as you enjoyed the view of the beach and Pamela Anderson's favorite baseball team (she's rumored to be a frequent fan @ Pepperdine games), we were up in your neck of the woods for the University of Portland Prospect Camp. What a great camp. Son has been very impressed with the level of instruction and all the MLB players/coaches teaching at the camp. He rates this as one of the best camps he's ever attended. Is really learning alot and having a great time.

The weather is interesting. Rain and clouds one minute, then light snow, then sunshine. Little chilly though but a beautiful area.
Rob forgot to mention that Jeff did a lot more at the plate than "just" give himself up to drive in a run and how well he worked with the pitchers who were pretty much all struggling with the wind that day. A friend of mine who pitched at Pepperdine was there watching his son and he commented on how impressive the catchers were and how well they took charge out there, something that Jeff epitomized.

Fortunately, that was the last day of wind and the final day of camp was material for a recruiting brochure. The same pitchers who struggled with their control suddenly found their control again and gun readings went up. This was a strong if somewhat mixed group with several pitchers hitting high 80s on the Stalker and some impressive hitters along with some young players who got just as much time as kids of "recruiting" age. There were kids from all over the country at the camp.
