My son is still fairly new at the showcase thing. He's done several in the past few months. Just getting his feet wet about colleges and what he wants to do. He's had nothing but good experiences. He is very interested in film making and I know Long Beach has a good film department. In addition, he has a pretty mean knuckleball. I had to stay home for this showcase. Husband and son are driving down tonight. Just spoke to them. Husband rented a car (because we have klunkers) and they're having a fine time on I-5 heading into LA basin. Both quite excited about what will happen tomorrow. Son very relaxed.
DB2BMom: Thanks for the Long Beach info. Just talked to my husband and confirmed what you said that there are several pros at the camp. Bobby Crosby is the one that got my son a bit slack-jawed (not an easy thing to do). Husband's doing a height and size comparison amongst the players. I guess my son is in the 75 percentile. Not bad. He's just happy to be there and playing with kids who are committed. Your location says you're in northern california..guess we're almost neighbors. Wondering how your son is finding the Long Beach program and if he has any tips.
Bobby Crosby! Bummer, I forgot to ask my son to get me an autograph! Big Grin

Good idea renting a car for the drive to Long Beach. Might save the wear and tear on my car to rent one too with all the travel we are expecting to do next spring.

My son is really feeling it with the stress of studying for next week's finals and is ready to come home for a much needed break.

He loves the baseball program and especially the pitching coach. He has learned so much in the last three months and made many new friends.

If you have any specific questions about the program you are welcome to send me a PM.
