Yes, John Grisham now lives in Virginia.

Grisham has houses in Mississippi, Va, Eastern Shore, and most recently NC.

His nephew played amateur college summer ball in MD in 2005.

Just finished the book (in two days). Great read!

John Grisham attended my son's school Delta State for a while and actually tried out for the baseball team when it was coached by the legendary Dave "Boo" Ferris. In Ferris's autobiography, in the Foreward section, Grisham tells a hilarious story of getting cut by Coach Ferris in a touching yet funny conversation. The part I particuarily remember was when Ferris called him into his office to give him the bad news and the conversation went something like this.

Ferris: You know John you're struggling quite a bit out there.
John Grisham: Well, coach, it's mostly with the pitchers.
Ferris: Well, I hate to tell you this, John, but several of them show up at every game!

John Grisham is still a great friend and admirer of Coach Ferris and a big contributor to Delta State University in Mississippi.
